Geology of the Baldwin Hills |

There has been significant study of the geology of the Baldwin Hills
in a large part due to Inglewood oil fields, which exist within the
Baldwin Hills. There is a fault that runs beneath the hills.
Additionally, much was learned by studying the Baldwin Hills Dam
Collapse, which occured in 1963 (this is descibed on the history
page). Significant geological information on Baldwin Hills, derived
from studies of the Dam Collaps can be found in the April 23rd 1971
